Nema is in-network with Horizon & UHC in Queen Village, Philadelphia. Most patients pay little to nothing out of pocket for intensive trauma therapy. Coverage varies by plan — verify your benefits in under two minutes on our site.
You run toward what others run from — and that comes at a cost most people don't see. Nema offers confidential, fully virtual PTSD treatment built specifically for the realities of the job. No waiting rooms. No sign-in sheets at a clinic. No one from the department needs to know. Our treatment uses Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), which doesn't require you to recount every call or incident in detail. Instead, you'll work with a dedicated therapist 2-3 times per week to process the beliefs trauma leaves behind — the guilt, the hypervigilance, the feeling that you can never let your guard down. Treatment fits around shift schedules, averages 39 days, and 93% of patients no longer meet PTSD criteria afterward. Nema also includes peer support from navigators with lived experience, so you're not just getting clinical care — you're getting someone who understands.
Getting started takes three steps. First, a short info call to understand what you're looking for and answer any practical questions. Second, we verify your insurance so there aren't surprises. Third, you complete a 75-minute clinical evaluation with a licensed clinician who will assess your symptoms, confirm a diagnosis, and build a personalized care plan. From there, you move into intensive treatment — 2 to 3 virtual sessions per week with your dedicated therapist for about 4 to 6 weeks. Between sessions, you'll practice short exercises that help you apply what you're learning in real life. Most patients complete treatment in about 39 days. After intensive care, you can transition into Rise — Nema's ongoing recovery program with continued therapy, peer support groups, and skills-based sessions for up to 10 months.
Nema is 100% virtual — no fighting Philly traffic or hunting for parking near a clinic, no sitting in a waiting room, and no chance of running into someone you know on the way in. You connect with your therapist from wherever you feel most comfortable, whether that's your home in the city or anywhere else in Pennsylvania. Sessions are scheduled around your life, including early mornings and evenings, so treatment doesn't compete with your day. Every session is private, secure, and HIPAA-compliant.
