About the Treatment

A workplace accident can leave more than physical scars. When flashbacks, anxiety, or hypervigilance start affecting your ability to work and live, Nema's intensive virtual therapy is designed to help you recover — without disrupting the rest of your life. Our treatment is built around Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), one of the most proven approaches for trauma and PTSD. You won't be asked to relive every detail of what happened. Instead, you'll work with a dedicated therapist 2-3 times per week to identify the beliefs the trauma left behind — guilt, fear, self-blame — and reshape them. Treatment averages 39 days, and 93% of patients no longer meet the criteria for PTSD when they're done. Everything is fully virtual, works around your schedule, and is covered by most major insurance plans.

What to Expect

Getting started takes three steps. First, a short info call to understand what you're looking for and answer any practical questions. Second, we verify your insurance so there aren't surprises. Third, you complete a 75-minute clinical evaluation with a licensed clinician who will assess your symptoms, confirm a diagnosis, and build a personalized care plan. From there, you move into intensive treatment — 2 to 3 virtual sessions per week with your dedicated therapist for about 4 to 6 weeks. Between sessions, you'll practice short exercises that help you apply what you're learning in real life. Most patients complete treatment in about 39 days. After intensive care, you can transition into Rise — Nema's ongoing recovery program with continued therapy, peer support groups, and skills-based sessions for up to 10 months.

Why Virtual?

Nema is 100% virtual — no driving the Brigantine Bridge to a clinic across town and no summer beach traffic, no crowded waiting rooms, and no risk of seeing someone you know in a waiting room across the bridge. You connect with your therapist from wherever you feel most comfortable, whether that's your home on the island, near the Brigantine Lighthouse, or anywhere else in New Jersey. Sessions are scheduled around your life, including early mornings and evenings, so treatment fits your schedule instead of replacing it. Every session is private, secure, and HIPAA-compliant.
