Anita offers support through psychoeducation, encouragement, and social connection.
As a survivor myself, I was immediately inspired when I learned about Nema Health and the powerful work being done here. The mission and values deeply resonated with me—not just because of my personal journey, but also through my professional experience managing a sexual assault forensic training program. I’ve seen firsthand how critical trauma-informed patient-centered care is, and how few organizations are truly offering this kind of support.
Becoming a Peer Navigator felt like a natural next step—a way to give back, uplift others, and walk alongside people as they reclaim their power and sense of control. I believe everyone deserves the chance to build a life they feel safe, supported, and happy in. The opportunity to be a part of that process is what truly inspired me.
Since my recovery from PTSD, my life has changed in so many meaningful ways. I feel happier, more grounded, and more in tune with myself. I’ve become a parent, which has added a whole new layer of purpose and joy to my life. I’m genuinely proud of how far I’ve come—reclaiming my power, knowing my worth, setting boundaries, and choosing what feels right for me.
I’ve learned that healing isn’t linear, but with support and self-compassion, it’s absolutely possible to build a life that feels safe, fulfilling, and true to who you are.
Clients can expect empathy, warmth, and honesty when working with me. I’m here to listen without judgment and to support you in whatever way you need—whether that’s having someone to talk to, helping you find resources, advocating on your behalf, or offering guidance and recommendations.
I believe in meeting people where they are, honoring their pace, and centering their needs and goals throughout their healing journey. I’m communicative, open, and honest, and always here to be a consistent, understanding presence as you take steps toward healing and empowerment.
