Zoe is a licensed therapist with 7 years of experience.
I have always enjoyed working with people to solve complex problems collaboratively. After I graduated college, I worked as a research assistant in an adolescent psychiatric inpatient unit. I was drawn to the practice of breaking down challenges (both in the research and in clinical work) into small, manageable parts. This inspired me to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology. I try to take this practice of breaking down bigger problems into smaller goals into my clinical practice. I am passionate about helping people to build up their skills so they can face those challenges independently in the future!
I always aim to provide a collaborative, supportive environment in therapy. I believe that treatment is most effective when we work together as a team. I bring humor, empathy, and openness to all of my sessions.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, challenged, and supported. Therapy can be vulnerable and difficult, and I want clients to see the progress they are making in treatment. I also aim for clients to feel comfortable providing feedback to me as a therapist and for us to have open communication about our work together.
